Watch Eddie Vedder, Jim James, & Robyn Hitchcock Perform On The Roadies Season Finale
Last night, Cameron Crowe’s rock-and-roll road-life Showtime dramedy Roadies finished up its first season, and you probably didn’t watch it. All season, the show has brought in real-life musicians, including Phantogram, for onstage cameos. And last night, Crowe must’ve called every rock star in his cell phone, bringing in at least a few of them. The episode included brief performances from Pearl Jam frontman/Singles cast member Eddie Vedder, My Morning Jacket frontman/Elizabethtown cast member Jim James, and Robyn Hitchcock, who has never, to the best of my knowledge, made a cameo in a Cameron Crowe movie. (Was he in We Bought A Zoo? Who can say?) Vedder performed the Big Fish soundtrack nugget “Man Of The Hour,” James sang the folk traditional “He Was A Friend Of Mine,” and Hitchcock did a song called “Judge.” Watch all three performances below.
