We named Copenhagen rockers Communions one of the best new bands of 2015 off the strength of their self-titled debut EP. They’ve signed to Fat Possum since then, and their first 7″ is out on the imprint in a couple weeks. We’ve already heard the A-side “Don’t Hold Anything Back,” and today they share the B-side, “Eternity,” via The Line Of Best Fit. A ringing, anthemic guitar kicks things off before it’s enveloped by quick-hitting drums with rolling transitions, fuzzy bass, and bubbling synths. The crescendo on the hook “I wonder why eternity won’t end, here we go again” makes for an infectious climax. Listen.
