Peter and David Brewis, better known as Field Music, released their stellar album Commontime earlier this year. It was their first Top 40 LP, and they’re riding high off the accomplishment into the second episode of their new podcast called Commontime Radio on Spotify. The series features the brothers going in-depth into B-sides, demos, and rarities of their own and other artists including tracks by the Kinks, the Rutles, Miles Davis, and Diana Ross. The episode will also feature the debut of the previously unreleased track “How We Gonna Get There Now?” It’s a groovy jam with rhythmic guitars ramping up and down in energy as the duo glides through sections with smooth harmonies. The song was initially recorded during the sessions for 2012’s Plumb but it didn’t make the cut because they thought it sounded too much like Todd Rundgren. Listen.
