The searching, psychedelic California band Grandaddy broke up in 2006, but they've lately been active again, playing shows and recording new music. And today, we get to hear a little bit of that music. The band has released a new two-song single, and its two tracks are the band's first new releases since 2006. Of those two songs, "Way We Won't" is a starry-eyed, lightly chugging rocker, and "Clear Your History" is a short, elegant stately ballad. Both of them concern the same sort of overwhelmed-by-technology feeling that Grandaddy played around with for years. You can hear both of the new songs below.

The "Way We Won't" b/w "Clear Your History" single is out now at iTunes. The band has also inked a deal with Danger Mouse's label 30th Century Records, so we can hopefully expect more new music soon.
