Tycho – “Epoch”
Back in July, Scott Hansen, the electronically-inclinded post-rocker who records as Tycho, dropped a new track called “Division.” Today, he’s got a new one called “Epoch,” and it’s an excellent example of what this guy does well. It’s a clean, precise instrumental, one where the synth sounds and the guitar sounds wind in and out of each other in ways that feel completely organic. And it’s built on a brisk rhythm track that never lets things get too ponderous. While there’s no word of a new album or anything like that, Tycho has just announced an American tour, and you can check out his dates and listen to “Epoch” below.
