MV & EE – “Feel Alright” Video (Dir. Naomi Yang)
MV & EE, the Vermont-based musical project of Matt “MV” Valentine and Erika “EE” Elder, is back next month with a new album on Woodsist. Full details on Root/Void are available below, but first, watch the video for lead single “Feel Alright,” which is just exceedingly wonderful. The song itself is a beauty, a pastoral psych-folk slow jam that practically nuzzles itself up against you. Its video is a perfect match: Naomi Yang (Galaxie 500, Damon & Naomi) filmed Valentine and Elder at home with their daughter Vega, living out an idyllic hippie domestic fantasia that will have you considering a move to some remote cabin in the Northeast. Watch below.

And here’s a new bio by Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo:
MV & EE take their homespun hypnotics and cosmic country sounds to new levels on Root/Void. I love this album — it trips hard and hauntingly — a gift for languid golden afternoons or late night moonlight powwows. Anthem-worthy tape edits on some cuts crack open surreal and cinematic vistas. While joined by fellow travelers here and there, this LP remains in essence a fecund duet from two entwined souls, updating and re-defining their unique pool of sound. Intrepid audio bathers: get thee immersed!
Root/Void is out 10/7 on Woodsist. Pre-order it here.
