Danny Brown – “Tell Me What I Don’t Know”
Rap banshee Danny Brown’s Atrocity Exhibition is quickly approaching; it’s now just a little over a week away. Each subsequent single indicates it will be a very versatile body of work. We’ve already heard the chaotic “When It Rain,” the haunting “Pneumonia,” the slick “Rolling Stone,” and the lyrical posse cut “Really Doe.” Today, he offers “Tell Me What I Don’t Know.” Brown employs a more laid-back flow over a synth-drenched stalker of a beat by Paul White that sounds like you could drop it into the score for The Warriors. Brown told Zane Lowe it’s a return to “old, signature Danny Brown…some old Detroit shit coming up in the hood.” Listen.
Atrocity Exhibition is out 9/30 via Warp. Pre-order it here.
