Cakes Da Killa – “Up Out My Face” (Feat. Peaches)
Queer New Jersey spitfire Cakes Da Killa is set to drop Hedonism next month. The album is shaping up to be more of the sharp-tongued, hard-edged club rap that we’ve come to expect from the incongruously named Cakes. The latest taste of the album comes in the form of the attitudinal “Up Out My Face” featuring Canada’s raunchiest electropop star Peaches. It’s a classic, infectious dance beat with layers of synths punctuated by intricate drums with plenty of knock. Cakes spits some dexterous, energetic, rapidfire bars and Peaches gets in and out quick with short bursts to accentuate. Hedonism is shaping up nicely. Hear “Up Out My Face” and check out the clip for previous single “Talkin Greezy” below.
Hedonism is out 10/21. Pre-order it here.
