Common – “Black America Again” (Feat. Stevie Wonder) Video
The issue of anti-black police violence remains terrifyingly, heartbreakingly present in American life today. And on a new song that features many, many talented artists from different eras, the rap veteran Common testifies and vents about it. “Black America Again” features vocals from Stevie Wonder, bass from Esperanza Spalding, and ad-libs from Chuck D and MC Lyte. Jazz musicians Karriem Riggins and Robert Glasper produced the track. Its new video opens with disturbing footage of a police shooting, and it shows many close-up images of devastated black faces.
