Temples – “Certainty”
Temples, a band of four young British men with elaborate haircuts, made themselves famous two years ago with Sun Structures, an album of big, expansive, festival-friendly psych-rock. They’ve lately been at work on an as-yet-unannounced sophomore album, and they just unveiled its first single today. The new song is called “Certainty,” and it has a streaky, synthy sense of uplift to it. Frontman James Bagshaw says in a press release that he wanted to give the song “an eerie, early Disney vibe,” but it mostly sounds like early MGMT. You can hear it below.
