Watch Black Keys & Cage The Elephant Frontmen Join Prophets of Rage In Nashville

Prophets Of Rage -- the new supergroup that features three quarters of Rage Agains The Machine, alongside rap legends Chuck D and B-Real -- are currently touring North America's finer shed venues. Last month, Dave Grohl joined the band onstage in Toronto to blast through a cover of the MC5's classic agit-rocker "Kick Out The Jams," and then he did it again in Los Angeles. Apparently, that's just a thing Prophets Of Rage are going to do anytime they can convince a radio-rock star to come out onstage. Last night, the band played Nashville, and they were joined by two special guests: Dan Auerbach, of the Ohio-reared and Nashville-based Black Keys, and Matt Shultz, of the Kentucky trudge-rockers Cage The Elephant. Shultz, in case you were wondering, comes off onstage as a way bigger star than Auerbach, even if Auerbach did the twin-solos thing with Tom Morello. Watch a fan-made video of the performance below.

Shout out to Chuck D for like two bars of "Black Steel In The Hour Of Classic Rock." Imagine what might happen if Prophets Of Rage had some rappers come out onstage.
