Last night, Animal Collective played an 18+ show at Edmonton's Union Hall. The band just realized the day before that the venue wouldn't be allowing underage fans in, and they were pretty bummed about it:
Bummed to say we just found out from the venue in Edmonton that they're unable to get a permit to allow kids under 18 into Fri's show.

We tried to find another venue but nothing else could work. If you’re under 18 & have tix, refunds are available at point of purchase.

If you’re under 18, please email AC@timbreconcerts.com for info on what we’re trying to do for you. Doors for the show are now at 7pm.

So they decided to take action into their own hands. During sound check earlier in the day, Good Guys AnCo played a private set for the two kids who couldn't get into the actual show. Here's a video from Avey Tare's sister and the band's stage designer Abby Portner:We’re really sorry this happened. See you soon.
