Mozart’s Sister – “Eternally Girl (Kane West Remix)”
This week, Mozart’s Sister will put out a new tape featuring “Eternally Girl” and “Angel,” two massive and beguiling pop tracks that demonstrate a huge leap from her 2014 debut, Being. Also included on the release is a remix of “Eternally Girl” by Kane West (aka Gus Lobban, also of Kero Kero Bonito), and he morphs Caila Thompson-Hannant’s original fractious, gossamer synths into something more sparkling and tangible. The remix builds to an ’80s-inspired hustle and bustle, complete with some shrill crossing guard whistles, that imbues Thompson-Hannant’s lovesick declarations with the urgency they deserve. Listen below.
