Fred Armisen and Bill Hader have devoted an episode of their IFC comedy show Documentary Now! to parodying Jonathan Demme’s 1984 Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense, one of the greatest rock movies ever made. The episode, which also features Maya Rudolph and her husband Paul Thomas Anderson, chronicles the final concert of a fictional band called Test Pattern. Everyone involved already appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers to perform one of its songs. And now we get a few clips from the actual show, plus a great video of Talking Heads members Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz watching the parody, reacting to it and snarking about their old bandmate David Byrne.
