Stream Weyes Blood Front Row Seat To Earth
Recording under the name Weyes Blood, Natalie Mering makes serene, carefully written music that, at least aesthetically, fits into a sort of ’70s bucolic singer-songwriter vein. But Mering isn’t a revivalist; she’s writing about the specific-to-now feeling of being adrift in the universe, of being unsure of whether you’re able to grasp anything real. Her new album Front Row Seat To Earth, which follows her 2014 debut The Innocents, is a lovely and piercing piece of work, an album that absolutely demands your attention. We’ve posted the early songs “Seven Words,” “Do You Need My Love,” and “Generation Why.” And right now, you can stream the entire album below, via NPR. You should do that.
Front Row Seat To Earth is out 10/21 on Mexican Summer.
