Split Single – “Blank Ribbons”

Marina Chavez

Jason Narducy has put in serious time with bands like Verbow, Superchunk, and Bob Mould's current trio. And as the frontman of his own revolving-lineup band Split Single, Narducy makes tough, terse, bullshit-free indie rock. Narducy is getting ready to follow up Split Single's 2014 album Fragmented World with a new one called Metal Frames. He made it with Jon Wurster, who plays drums alongside Narducy in both Superchunk and Mould's band, and John Stirratt, who plays bass in Wilco. We've already heard the early track "Leave My Mind," and now you can hear the fast, efficient new one "Blank Ribbons" below, via Consequence Of Sound.
