Wolf Parade are back in action, but as we've seen from Dan Boeckner's extremely busy schedule, the various members are still pursuing other musical avenues. The latest of those: Guitarist Dante Decaro will release a solo EP called Kill Your Boyfriend next week. Recorded in Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia, the project finds Decaro driving a singer-songwriter sound into artful rock 'n' roll territory. Lead single "Love Like Thieves," for instance, is rooted in acoustic strums and post-Springsteen "woah-oh" vocals but peppered with eerie keyboard sounds that give it a pleasing character all its own.
