Muse Cover The Cramps For Halloween
UK arena-prog wizards generally take themselves pretty seriously, but it’s nice to see that they’re getting a little bit loose for Halloween. This morning, the trio shared a video of themselves, dressed up as greaser ghouls and paying tribute to pioneering psychobilly ooze-punks the Cramps. In the video, Muse cover “Some Kind Of Kick,” a song from the Cramps’ 1981 album Bad Music For Bad People. And while nobody’s going to mistake Matt Bellamy for the late Lux Interior anytime soon, it’s still a nice shoutout to a band that remains way too underrated. Check it out below.
Shout out to Muse for not just doing the obvious thing and covering the Misfits. If you’re going to cover the Cramps on Halloween, though, I’d like to humbly submit that you’re blowing it if you’re not covering “Goo Goo Muck.”
