Natalie Mering makes beautiful, tranquil music under the name Weyes Blood. She recently dropped her sophomore album Front Row Seat To Earth, and it’s stellar. One of the standout tracks was the grand, sweeping “Used To Be,” which she gives the visual treatment today with help from director Laura-Lynn Petrick. The clip is an extension of her picturesque album cover, filmed partly in the same location where the beautiful photo for the cover was taken with Mering in the same ’70s-inspired light blue suit. It’s one of those videos that ties in an album’s artwork, concept, and aesthetic, and given that all of those things are gorgeous, the clip is too. Check it out.
