Nas, Dave East, Lin-Manuel Miranda, & Aloe Blacc – “Wrote My Way Out” & Usher – “Wait For It”
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s star-studded The Hamilton Mixtape is due early next month, and the singles have been steadily coming out in couples since early this month. We’ve already heard Sia’s “Satisfied” featuring Miguel and Queen Latifah, “Immigrants (We Get The Job Done)” featuring K’naan, Snow Tha Product, Residente, and Riz MC, Kelly Clarkson’s “It’s Quiet Uptown,” and the Roots’ “My Shot” with Busta Rhymes, Joell Ortiz, and Ruess.
Today we get another pair of tracks: “Wrote My Way Out” featuring Nas, Dave East, Aloe Blacc, and Miranda himself, and Usher’s “Wait For It.” The former is a triumphant piano driven anthem with East, Nas, and Miranda detailing personal stories full of intricate rhymes, and the latter is a bouncy, dancehall-indebted pop anthem. Check them out below.
The Hamilton Mixtape is out 12/2 via Hamilton Uptown LLC/Atlantic. Pre-order it here.
