Stories For Ways & Means is a collaborative art project organized by Waxploitation founder Jeff Antebi that pairs musicians with contemporary painters to come up with original children’s stories. Justin Vernon, Kathleen Hanna, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Laura Marling, Devandra Banhart, and Alison Mosshart are among the songwriters that participated, and the results will be included in a forthcoming multimedia art book, which is available for pre-order now. Short animated films accompany select stories in the project, and those feature narrators such as King Krule, Joey Bada$$, Lizzo, and more.
