Elton John paid tribute to his late friend George Michael last night, ABC reports, opening his show in Las Vegas with a performance of "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me." John and Michael performed the song together in 1985 before recording and releasing it as a duet in 1991, but last night, John performed it alone while projecting a photo of Michael onto the stage.
