Karen Elson – “Distant Shore”
The English-born, Nashville-based musician Karen Elson will release her sophomore album, the follow up to 2010’s The Ghost Who Walks, in April. Double Roses’ inaugural single is “Distant Shore,” and it features backing vocals from Laura Marling, who will also put out a new album this year. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ Benmont Tench is featured on keys, and the LP includes collaborations with Patrick Carney, Father John Misty, Pat Sansone, Nate Wolcott, Paul Cartwright, and Dhani Harrison.
