Nottingham pop auteur Ronika will release tomorrow her new album Lose My Cool, the follow-up to her 2014 debut Selectadisc. But before she does she’s letting loose one final single from the album, the summery “All Comes Back 2 U.” Ronika has proven herself a chameleon of styles, hopping from ebullient funk to decadently smooth soul from track to track, and “All Comes Back 2 U” is no different in being different. Shimmering neo-R&B with rippling percussive bursts and tropical flourishes, the song finds Ronika joyously infatuated and infectiously so. Her unabashed proclamations of devotion and her “heart in motion” ring with such earnest conviction it could crack a smile on the most steadfast cynic. There’s so much shine and sparkle that it almost distracts you from just how effective “All Comes Back 2 U” operates as a simple love song.
