Iron Reagan – “Take The Fall”
Richmond, Virginia metal-punks Iron Reagan are the cover stars of the latest issue of New Noise Magazine, and have contributed their monstrous new song “Take The Fall” to be included with each copy. That’s the single’s incredible artwork up above (you can also order it as a screenprinted poster, FYI), and the song itself is just as gnarly of a piece of work. The band’s latest album Crossover Ministry is still a few weeks out, but “Take The Fall” couldn’t have arrived at a better time. The band channels some of the indignation we’re likely all feeling as the inauguration draws closer upon the horizon, with vocalist Tony Foresta’s relentless pronouncements of “guilty as charged” knowingly feeling useless in what’s now the common wisdom that “justice a fraud.” Even without any words, the band’s ferocious thrashing resonates for mirroring my own pummeling heart rate in these troubled times. Crossover Ministry is out 2/3 on Relapse.
