Thee Oh Sees – “Gelatinous Cube” Video
California’s most raucous garage-rockers Thee Oh Sees released two studio albums last year — the frenetic A Weird Exits and its more experimental companion An Odd Entrances. “Gelatinous Cube” was a standout track from the former — a blistering psychedelic freak-out with so much hooky momentum it nearly sounded like surf-rock. Today, the band shared an animated video for the song, and the visual is just as wild of a trip as the music. It comes across as a sort of parable of capitalism as mind control, but truly could be about anything by the time the protagonist becomes one with what I’m assuming is the song’s namesake gelatinous cube. Watch and check out the band’s upcoming tour dates below.
