Bill Fay – “Shame”
The newest track from the Our First 100 Days compilation emphasizes something that many of us are feeling right now: shame. Our First 100 Days is a charity-driven anti-Trump campaign that benefits the ACLU, providing one sonic source of comfort a day from a variety of musicians. The concerned and crystalline folk ballad “Shame” is singer-songwriter Bill Fay’s newest release in two years, following his last album Who Is The Sender. Fay’s reflection is melodically warm, but lyrically sobering. “One day the sun will refuse to shine/ And the moon and the stars will close their eyes,” he sings. Listen below.
