Last night, Lady Gaga packed as much theater-kid jazz-hands entertainment into her Super Bowl Halftime Show as anyone could’ve imagined. Or, rather, she almost did. Gaga might’ve started things off by plunging, in a harness, from a the stadium roof and then flying over the heads of the people in the audience. But she didn’t do it while wearing a conical bra that shot sparks. As many on Twitter pointed out, there were moments in Gaga’s Halftime Show that looked a lot like what happened when Gaga guested on a 2012 episode of The Simpsons. During that show, she also rocked a harness, flying over the heads of various Springfield regulars, and it looked shockingly similar. Check out the comparison below, via The Independent.

If this year has taught us anything, it’s that there is no satire anymore. Real life can always find ways to get even weirder.
