Last year, James Hinton, the Brooklyn-based producer who records as the Range, released Potential, a great album built around samples of musicians who he discovered on YouTube. And today, he's got a new video for its single "Florida." Like the album, the video uses YouTube to its full extent. It's a 360-degree virtual-reality video; while watching, you can pan around the rooftop where it takes place, viewing a spontaneous rooftop dance party from any angle you please. Andrea Allen directs. And Hinton has also shared New Lots, a 24-minute mix of new and unreleased music. Check out both the video and the mix below.
