Ever since 2010, Wilco have been semi-regularly bringing their Solid Sound Festival to the MASS MoCA museum in North Adams, Massachusetts. It’s coming back this summer, taking over the museum 6/23-25. Wilco will once again headline, playing on two different nights, and various Wilco side projects Tweedy, the Autumn Defense, On Fillmore, the Nels Cline Four, and Quindar will also play. The bill will also feature some other guitar-slinging heavyweights, including punk originators Television, headblown travelers Kurt Vile & The Violators, beloved enigmas the Shaggs, former J. Geils Band leader Peter Wolf and his Midnight Travelers, and people like Kevin Morby, Joan Shelley, and Daniel Bachmann, all of whom are finding different ways to breathe new life into folk music.
