When Miguel was working on his sophomore album, 2015's great Wildheart, he recorded one track with DJ Premier, formerly half of Gang Starr and one of the greatest rap producers who has ever lived. But their track didn't make it onto the album. Instead, the LP featured an alternate version of that song, "Damned." On the album, it was a sorty of sludgy psych-rock song. But now Premier has released the song in its original form, now called "2 Lovin U," bringing the funky precision that Premier brings to everything he does. I'll take the Premier version over the one that made the cut on Wildheart. Check it out below.
