Kodak Black – “My Time” (Feat. Derrick Milano)
The young Florida rapper Kodak Black is hitting new career milestones all the time lately. His debut album is coming out next month, and he’ll spend his summer on tour with Future and Migos. He released a new single called “Tunnel Vision,” and he’s got another new one today, a striver’s anthem called “My Time.” Kodak doesn’t record too many tracks with guest singers, but this one features R&B belter Derrick Milano on the hook, and it works well enough. But what sets the song apart is the emotional intensity of Kodak’s delivery when he talks about causing his mother pain and trying to never go back to jail. Check it out below, via XXL.
Kodak’s album Painting Pictures is out 3/31.
