Your Old Droog – “Help” (Feat. Wiki & Edan) Video
Earlier this month, Your Old Droog, the once-mysterious Coney Island rap punchliner, teamed up with Ratking member Wiki for the collaborative EP What Happened To Fire?. Next month, Droog will release Packs, his proper debut album, and it’ll include contributions from people like Danny Brown, Heems, and the comedian Anthony Jeselnik. On the single “Help,” Droog once again teams up with Wiki, and this time they also get help from Edan, the psychedelic, fuzzed-out rapper and producer who only recently returned from a long silence. The three of them trade off beautifully dirtbaggy New York rap verses over a beat that sounds like it’s eating itself. And in director Matt Lubansky’s video, the three of them play New York sanitation workers. Wiki raps from inside a trash can, Edan wears a weird mask and plays guitar, and Droog plays some remarkably awful basketball. Watch it below, via Complex.
Packs is out 3/10 on Droog Recordings/Fat Beats.
