The 1973 movie Tactus Tempus had an experimental-at-the-time all-synth score from composer Frank McCarty. And now, members of some of our finest synth-based acts -- Caribou, Hot Chip, Junior Boys, Simian Mobile Disco, Floating Points -- have teamed up to record a new version of that score, as Pitchfork reports. The new supergroup recorded a couple of different versions of the score in July, with each member using a different modular synth. And the score is coming out 3/17 on Geej Recordings.
