WOMPS – “Darling”
Glasgow-based duo WOMPS are premiering a new track today that shies away from the style of last year’s full-length debut Our Fertile Forever. “Darling” invites a healthy dose of synths into the band’s repertoire, channeling a conscious effort to expand their sound beyond their previous pop-punk label. Taking cues from the likes of the Cure, “Darling” has serious ’80s ballad feels, lovelorn lyrics and all, and it piques our curiosity about how WOMPS will continue to play around with genres in their music to come. Check out the new track below.
