The Swede-pop charmer Jens Lekman's song "How We Met, The Long Version" traces the story of a relationship in a vast and cosmic sense. It's a strutting, disco-informed number that begins with the actual birth of the universe and goes right up through planetary formation, trilobite evolution, and a first kiss. The song appears on Lekman's new album Life Will See You Now, and now Lekman has followed up his "What's The Perfume That You Wear?" video with a new clip for "How We Met, The Long Version." Director Keyvan Haghighi keeps things simple, showing an extended shot of Lekman performing against a starry backdrop. But that's all the better to focus on the song's lyrics, which are pretty great.
