Hear The Cranberries’ Acoustic “Linger” From New Unplugged Hits LP
Irish ’90s alt-rock stars the Cranberries are releasing Something Else next month, an unplugged album featuring acoustic and orchestral versions of their greatest hits in addition to three new songs. You can already listen to the project’s stunning, sighing reinterpretation of the band’s 1993 single “Linger,” which features accompaniment from the Irish Chamber Orchestra. Speaking about the song with Rolling Stone, vocalist Dolores O’Riordan recalls how “‘Linger’ was the first song I wrote after joining the Cranberries,” and notes that, “Universally, I think its message remains timeless and relevant, never going out of fashion, yet never quite in fashion.” Listen below.
Something Else is out 4/28.
