Watch Woods Play In The Woods For Their Take Away Show
DIY folk-rock institution Woods are one of our great ramshackle lo-fi bands. That makes them a perfect fit for the Take Away Shows, the long-running video series from the French website La Blogothèque, which finds bands playing in the wild, without amplification or special lighting or anything that might take away from the purity of the experience. And Woods’ Take Away Show is indeed pretty great. In their installment, Woods play in the actual woods, with their horn section practically hiding in the bushes and a very cute kitten wandering around. And while Woods have a new album called Love Is Love coming soon, they don’t play anything from it. Instead, they go back to “Suffering Season,” from 2010’s At Echo Lake, and “Politics Of Free,” from last year’s City Sun Eater In The River Of Light. Check it out below.
Love Is Love is out 4/21 on Woodsist.
