Baltimore art-rock veterans Celebration are one of the best-kept secrets on the indie rock underground. Singer Katrina Ford is an absolute force of nature, one who was collaborating with TV On The Radio back in that band’s earliest days. And in Celebration, her fiery wail lights up a sort of broken-down carnival of off-kilter grooves. The band has just announced the impending release of their new album Wounded Healer, the follow-up to 2014’s Albumin. Future Islands frontman Samuel T. Herring guests on the album, and its first single is the chugging, oddly catchy “Freedom Ring.” Listen to it and check out the tracklist below.
