Spencer Radcliffe & Everyone Else – “Smoker’s Paradise”
Next month, Spencer Radcliffe is releasing a new album with his band Everyone Else, and he’s following up the great lead single “Wrong Turn” with “Smoker’s Paradise,” a song that goes in five different directions at once but still feels cohesive and calming. It imbues taking a smoke break with just the right amount of menace for something that’ll eventually kill you but feels great in the moment: “It’s okay, everybody wastes the time some way/ Waste away,” Radcliffe sings over a swirling warmth. “I came to smoke my cares away.” Listen via Spin below.
