Robin Pecknold Rewards Most Active Instagram Commenters With Fleet Foxes Test Pressings
Robin Pecknold is extremely active on Instagram. Throughout the whole process of writing and recording their upcoming album Crack-Up, the Fleet Foxes frontman has been using his Instagram to interact with fans, tease new material and information, cover Curtis Mayfield, and debate the current state of indie rock with Dave Longstreth, among other things. And now, he’s giving a little something back to his most devoted Instagram followers: In his latest post, Pecknold promises to send a unique signed test pressing of the Crack-Up vinyl to his 20 biggest commenters.
“You all are the 20 most frequent commenters on this page, and you’ve been really funny / kind / supportive through this whole process of writing, recording, and now releasing Crack-Up,” Pecknold writes. “As a way of expressing my gratitude for that, we’ve made 20 test pressings of the Crack-Up 2x vinyl LP and all signed them; we’d like to send one your way around release week. This is the only way anyone anywhere could get this particular thing. So: DM me some physical addresses and thank you again ya lovable freaks and thank you to everybody else who checks in here as well – love you all!”
We at Stereogum of all places recognize the power of a good comment section. We love you guys! That said, you probably shouldn’t expect any Fleet Foxes test pressings anytime soon.
