The I.L.Y’s — the Death Grips side project that mysteriously emerged in 2015 before returning with last year’s Scum With Boundaries — announced back in March that they’d be back for the third summer in a row with a new album Bodyguard. Last month, the experimental outfit of Zach Hill and Andy Morin shared the songs “Gargoyle” and “Bobo,” and today they’ve let loose another single alongside release details. The 10-track Bodyguard will be out later this month via John Dwyer’s label Castle Face Records, and “I Love You Man” is a psychedelic desert-blitz of frantic guitars and warping percussion reminiscent of Dwyer’s own Thee Oh Sees in its grungy hustle.
