Arcade Fire leaders Win Butler and Régine Chassagne have been honored as Compagnon des Arts et des Lettres du Québec (which translates to Companions of Quebec’s Order of Arts and Letters). As Arcade Fire Tube explains, "Instituted in 2015 to mark CALQ’s 20th anniversary, the OALQ is awarded to individuals whose outstanding achievements contribute to the development of Quebec’s artistic and literary sectors. The winners are selected by the Council of the Ordre as part of an annual call for candidates. The award is symbolized by an insignia designed by jewellery artist Christine Dwane." Butler, Chassagne, and 17 other honorees will be recognized in a ceremony at Montreal’s Phi Centre on 5/29. Get more info here.
