Small Circle – “Sameness”
Last year, Small Circle — a Philadelphia-based band made up of Sorority Noise’s Cameron Boucher and Adam Ackerman, Rozwell Kid’s Sean Hallock, and vocalist Marissa D’Elia — released their debut Melatonin EP, a warm 3-song introduction to the band. Recently, Boucher remastered the EP and added a new song in advance of the EP’s tape release and a forthcoming album that’s due out later this year. “Sameness” is that new song, and it’s a gorgeous and unassuming swirl where D’Elia’s voice floats gracefully in and out of frame. “I don’t want to be happy, I just want to feel whole,” she repeats towards the end. Listen to it below.
The Melatonin EP will be reissued this Friday (5/5). You can pre-order it on tape via Flower Girl Records.
