British-born, Chicago-based guitarist James Elkington has recorded with musicians like Steve Gunn, Richard Thompson, and Joan Shelley, and a few years back, he released a collaborative album with Nathan Salsburg. But his upcoming full-length Wintres Woma is his official solo debut, and if what we’ve heard so far is any indication, it’s going to be a good one. After sharing lead single “Make It Up” last month, Elkington has now followed it up with another lovely tangle of fingerpicked guitar. “Wading The Vapors” is rendered even more lovely by the addition of cello from Tomeka Reid, and you can hear it below.
