Earlier this year, DJ Premier, one of the greatest rap producers who has ever lived, teamed up with Miguel for "2 Lovin U," an alternate version of a song that appeared on Miguel's Wildheart LP. And now Premier has taken another trip outside his comfort zone, teaming with the Nashville electro-pop duo Cherub for "My Space Baby," a cool fusion of two disparate aesthetics. As with "2 Lovin U," it's fascinating to hear Premier put his boom-bap production chops toward something other than stone-faced East Coast rap. In the video, Premier and Cupid perform in an auto graveyard while women smash old TVs. Check it out below.
