PayPal Sues Pandora Over Logo
Back in October, the streaming service Pandora unveiled a brand-new logo: A big bright-blue P against a white background. And the paying-for-stuff-online giant PayPal is pissed off about it, since its logo is two Ps, one white and one bright blue, against a slightly darker blue background. And now the New York Post reports that PayPal is suing Pandora, claiming that Pandora’s new logo “not only resembles, but openly mimics the PayPal logo” and that the new logo “has interfered dramatically with PayPal users’ experience.”

PayPal’s lawyers are including more than 20 social-media posts from users who say they accidentally opened the Pandora app on their phones when they were trying to open PayPal, including one who tweeted, “I was a little confused when I opened PayPal and Barenaked Ladies started playing.”
PayPal is asking for unspecified damages.
