Harry Styles Calls 14-Year-Old Fan Injured In Manchester Bombing To Say ‘I Love You’
Harry Styles provided some much needed comfort to a young fan who was seriously injured in last week’s bombing in Manchester at an Ariana Grande concert.
Freya Lewis, 14, had been intensive care at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for the past week, suffering from multiple fractures, lacerations and burns after being hit from flying shrapnel, Manchester Evening News reports.
She had been at the concert with her best friend Nell Jones, also 14, who was one of the 22 killed during the tragic incident.
For Lewis’ treatment, she reportedly spent more than 10 hours in surgery and has since undergone more than two more operations with additional procedures planned for the coming weeks.
On Saturday, Lewis’ school shared a blog post saying Styles called the teenager to tell her that he loved her.
“The phone rang, and it was Harry Styles. Freya woke up, Harry said he loved her, she said she loved him, then Dad said he loved him! The PICU unit at Manchester Children’s Hospital has just been given a lift like you can not imagine! Harry, we salute you sir.”
Lewis’ sister, Georgia, also shared the news on Facebook:
Georgia had asked her friends on social media to share a post on social media in hopes of getting the One Direction member and hometown hero’s attention. Amazingly, it worked. See that first post here:
