Remainder Of Free Press Summer Fest Cancelled Due To Weather
The remainder of Houston’s Free Press Summer Fest has been cancelled due to severe thunderstorms in the area. Organizers announced the official cancellation hours after the grounds were evacuated and the festival temporarily suspended. “With intense weather systems continuing and a flash flood warning issued by the National Weather Service, Eleanor Tinsley Park is unsafe for the event to continue,” FPSF wrote in an official statement. “Refunds of 50% of the base ticket price will be refunded for any tickets purchased with a credit card within the next 7-10 business days.”

Sadly, that means that Lorde’s cover of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” with Charli XCX and Tove Lo will no longer be happening:
FPSF, i’m so sorry but they’ve cancelled the day due to this apocalypse-style weather which means we can’t play for you tonight 😔
