A couple months ago, we found out that Frankie Cosmos’ Greta Kline and two members of Band To Watch alums Warehouse formed a new band called Lexie and that they had a debut album in the wings. In the midst of their first major touring support — opening for Girlpool on a few of their East Coast dates — the band has shared that whole album, which is called Record Time!. Kline’s voice and lyrical wit are unmistakable from her own project — choice line from “It’s Nothing”: “It’s no secret that I want you next to me, but when you’re gone I won’t follow through/ I’ll just roll into my next life away from you” — but the shuffling underbelly from former Warehouse members Alex Bailey and Doug Bleichner feels like a fresh new backdrop to place them against.
